What Is
Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is the third largest medical profession in the Western world and there are over 103,469 chiropractors worldwide. In Germany, however, there are only around 100 chiropractors with the Dr. of Chiropractic Diploma, which is based on a six-year, in-depth university education.

The word “Chiropractic” is derived from the Greek words “cheir” (hand) and “praktos” (done) combined to mean “done by hand.” It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer. In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.

D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.

Chiropractor’s main goal is to remove interference that may inhibit or reduce the function of your nervous system. By removing Vertebral Subluxation (vertebrae in the spine that have lost their normal position and are causing interference to the nerve roots and/or spinal cord), the innate intelligence within your body will have the opportunity to create the best healing environment for your body to increase its own level of health. All of this is done without the use of drugs, medicine, surgery, or invasive tools and procedures.
